How does Surgically Clean Air work?

Surgically Clean Air (SCA) refers to a brand of air purification systems designed to improve indoor air quality. These systems typically use multi-stage filtration technologies to remove airborne contaminants such as viruses, bacteria, allergens, mold, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The goal of SCA is to create cleaner and healthier indoor environments, particularly in settings like healthcare facilities, offices, schools, and homes.

Surgically Clean Air systems often include:

  • Multi-Stage Filtration

Combining HEPA filters, activated carbon filters, and UV-C light to capture and neutralize a wide range of pollutants.

  • High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) Filters

These filters can capture particles as small as 0.3 microns, which includes many bacteria and viruses.

  • Activated Carbon Filters

These filters help to remove odors, gases, and VOCs from the air.

  • UV-C Light

This ultraviolet light can kill or inactivate microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses.

  • Ionization

Some models include ionizers to help remove particles from the air by making them clump together and fall out of the air or be more easily trapped by filters.

  • Quiet Operation

Designed to operate quietly to avoid disrupting the environment.
